So Jay survived an IED blast in Iraq and he had some R&R for two weeks, and now it’s back to duty for him. I am still surprised they are sending him back to duty so soon after the blast. He is the strongest person I know. I have been amazed at the fact that he has recovered so quickly both mentally and physically. I think our soldiers have more mental challenges than anything else. People can be tortured mentally by what they experience during war. Jay is doing well and should have no long-term issues from his injuries.
More to come soon!
oh – whew! you make sure that he gets completely checked out ( need it all in writing, right? in case anything rears it’s head later) now, did you have your screaming crying jag? If you didn’t, let yourself do that, get rid of all that tension and fear and anger.. then take a whole lot of deep breaths and a lot of smiling and happy stuff…
